Thanksgiving roundup!

Hi, every puppy! If you're looking for our 7x7 meme, it's here. We started it on Friday but finished it today, and Blogger decided to post it as if we finished it then. Silly Blogger.

So last night was our Thanksgiving dinner over at my Nanny and Papa's house. We didn't have turkey this year, because Nanny can't eat it anymore. So Papa bbq'd some steaks, and there were brussels sprouts, baked potatoes, and pumpkin pie. Papa slipped me a big piece of steak and gave me a brussels sprout. I wasn't allowed any pumpkin pie, even though I asked nicely.

The Girl is always scolding Papa for the foodables he gives me. She says the vet told her that I have to stay really lean because of my missing leggy. And Papa doesn't just give little bits to taste, he gives a dog a REAL piece of food. So The Girl scolds, and he just keeps going. Thanks, Papa!

The little plastic thing under the bbq that catches the grease was also full, and Papa dumped it beside their house. Nanny says he just doesn't think, and scolded him for leaving me outside to lap it up. He had to come out and get me. Geez, nobody lets a pup have any fun!

The Girl and I are going to do a list of some of the things we are thankful for, since it's Thanksgiving and all. I'm going to let her go first.

Thanks, Dannan. First, I'm thankful for you. You are my heart dog, and you take such good care of me. I'm also thankful for our family and friends, who also help keep me going. I'm thankful we have a safe place to live, and food to eat. Fourth, I'm thankful that we live in Canada, a place where even those of us who are poor have good lives. And lastly, I'm thankful for all of the other people who help animals everywhere.

Good job, Girlie. Now it's time for my five things. I'm thankful for you, Girlie, because you found me and brought me home and love me so much. I'm thankful for Nanny and Papa, because they adore me and I've got them wrapped around my paw. I'm thankful for my food, although I wish I had more of it. I'm thankful for belly rubs, cuddles, and scratches, although you could give me more of those, too. And finally, I'm thankful for the outside, which is the best place in the world!

Well, Dannan, some of that isn't quite in the spirit of Thanksgiving...

Never mind, Girlie, this is my post! Just because I want more of something doesn't mean I'm not thankful for what I've got! It just means I'm a DOG, for heaven's sake!

Yesterday was a bright and sunny day, so we're going to post some pictures because there might not be many more of those days this year.

Your Pappy is PAWESOME!!! It was Thanksgiving! I thought you were supposed to eat way too much on Thanksgiving, take a nap and then run around crazy all day to start to loose the weight you gained! I love Thanksgiving!!
