We made it through. Yes, we are miles away but it rained hard and the wind blew here too. The power even blinked off a few times! Mom has talked to just about all of our family in Houston and they are safe but without power. Here's something to think on ... our house back in Houston still has power. There are about three block and the rest of the area is dark. Go figure.
