Follow up message from The Girl
Good news! Dannan is home!!! He has a urinary tract infection and antibiotics to take care of it. He was on an IV since Monday, so his pancreas and kidneys seem to be back to normal. He is happy to be home at last, and I am SO happy that he is back with me! Thank you for all of your good thoughts and prayers for us -- I know they made a difference! The Power of the Paw is mighty!!!

Message from The Girl
Everyone, Dannan and I could use your help and the Power of the Paw. Dannan went in to the V-E-T yesterday after several days of vomiting. He was dehydrated, and both his pancreas and his kidneys were at least a little bit affected. We're still not sure what's going on with him; he's spent the night at the V-E-T and we're waiting to hear back from them. Please send out good thoughts for my boy, pray if that's what you do, and keep us in your thoughts. I will update the blog when I know more. Thank you to all of our furends.

Might not be around for a bit...
Wroo, furends! I just wanted to let you all know that I might not be posting much for a couple of weeks (after it took SO long to finally get That Girl to let me post again!). The Girl is undergoing some new treatments for her brain sickies, and it might take a lot out of her. I am just hoping that she gets feeling ever so much better!
I'll post when I can! I am busy taking good care of My Girlie, but I'll try to sneak onto the bloggy if I can.

Bully stick!!!
Wroo! The other day, The Girl and My Nanny went away for a while. They do that sometimes, and I am always sad when I don't get to go. I miss My Girlie when she's not here, you know.
But then they came home (and I was SO happy to see them!) and GIRLIE BROUGHT ME A BULLY STICK!!!!!!
(I really love bully sticks! I am a super-strong chewer, so The Girl gets me the thickest ones she can find. Then, once a bully stick gets down to about four inches long, someone has to take it away from me, because I will swallow it.)
Chewing bully sticks is my hobby, I've decided. The Girl was saying the other day that someone she volunteers with was asking her what her hobbies are, and I decided that I need a hobby or two myself. Hobby number one, chewing bully sticks!
Sorry about the oogy colours on these pictures. The Girl is trying to figure out how to use her new camera. (Note from The Girl: I suppose I could read the manual, but so far I've just been experimenting.) And she informs me that it is hard to get good pictures of me chewing that don't all look the same!

Wednesday Woe
That Girl tortured me today! We got up (much later than I would like to get up, as usual), and I told her that it was my day to walk. She dawdled around, drinking tea and reading newspapers and eating breakfast, which she always does before we walk. But then, she went on that stupid laptop! She's not supposed to do that until after we walk. She kept saying, "It's raining, Woogie", but I never buy that excuse. I kept telling her, it's my day, it's my day, it's my day!
(Note from The Girl: He was really being a pain. Insisting that it was time to go for our walk. So we went.)
Furends, it was absolutely POURING down with rain! I have always been of the firm conviction that Little Brown Dogs melt if they get wet. This year, I've experimented with walking when there has been a light drizzle, and I have survived. But today, the rain was TORTUROUS. I was certain I was going to die.
(Note from The Girl: He wasn't going to die, obviously. And he walked just fine for ten minutes or so, and then he decided he wasn't going to move anymore, at all. He didn't want to go forward, and he didn't want to go back. So I did coax him along, I have to admit. There really wasn't any other option, although I do appreciate that he didn't get that.)
There are no pictures of my ordeal, because That Girl said that it was raining too hard to take out her new camera. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT????? It was raining too hard to take out the camera, but it wasn't raining too hard to take out the Little Brown Dog???
There are only pictures of me in the aftermath of this torture.
Look at how wet and ruffly my fur is! The indignity of it all!
I boycotted The Girl until suppertime. I hope she learned her lesson! I even cuddled with my Nanny this afternoon, right in front of That Girl!
(Final Note from The Girl: I did feel very bad that he got so wet. It was raining harder than I thought it was, and when he was willing to walk, I thought it was going to be okay. But he did get soaked. I have apologized many times today!)

Girlie keeps her promise!
Wroo, That Girl has let me post about our walk on Wednesday! These pictures are the ones that she already put on her facebook page, but she promised me that I could post them here, too. And here I am, posting them! Maybe I am too hard on That Girl sometimes...
Here I am near the beginning of our walk. It has been raining for days and days here, but we got out between showers so I could have my walk. As I mentioned before, I get to walk on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Girlie calls that every second day, but you can clearly see that she's wrong. There are TWO days between Friday and Monday, and I don't get a walk on either day!
(Note from The Girl: In our neighbourhood, there are many, MANY doggies that get to walk on Sundays, and Dannan snarks at most of them. I don't like letting him practice his barking and lunging, so we don't walk on Sundays anymore.)
Hmph. She's trying to justify those dumb rules of hers.
Here I am, doing one of my favefurite things: sniffing (and then peeing on) a rock. I love rocks!!
And here I am in motion. You can see in a lot of these pictures that my ears go flying a lot when I walk.
Here I am looking back at my Nanny, who usually walks with The Girl and I. If The Girl wants to take pictures of me walking, she needs someone to hold my leash - she's not the most coordinated human I've ever seen. But I like it when Nanny comes with us, even if it is to facilitate That Annoying Girl getting in my face with the camera.
On that facebook thing, Girlie said something about this being me as a headless doggie. You can clearly see my head! I love to smell the bottom parts of these shrubs, because lots of other doggies leave pee-mail there. Sometimes, you have to get up-close-and-personal to make sure you don't miss any messages.
Now it is time to hurry up, Nanny!
There is a doggie barking at me from behind a fence here. I am trying really hard to concentrate, and That Annoying Girlie is following me around with that camera thing. (Note from The Girl: It took quite a few shots to get one where he was looking at the camera, and Dannan got quite annoyed with me. You can see in the picture that I finally got, he's licking his lip to send me a calming signal - calm down, Girlie, and stop being a pain in the rear!)
Girlie is being polite when she tells you that. I was actually using an HBO word, not "rear". Sometimes, The Girl is a PITA, for those of you doggies who know what that means! I am telling her that she is annoying me, and to back off!
Here I have seen a birdie!
More action - look at me go so fast that I blurrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Wroo!
I see something...
This isn't what I saw. Girlie couldn't figure out what I was so interested in (or else she was too slow - she misses LOTS of shots because she is too slow to catch them). But anywroo, I love posts, too! I'm sure most of you doggies out there also love rocks and shrubs and posts - such good places to find out doggy data!
I like flowers, too.
Sniffing and smelling are the main points to walks, as far as I'm concerned. Check out my ears, too!
More sniffing...
And even more sniffing! (Don't tell my Nanny that you can see most of her in this picture! Girlie promised her that she would crop her out, but she forgot.)
On the move! Look at my ears in the next few pictures!
Don't I look like a happy doggie???
More sniffing for pee-mail...
Look this way....
...and the other way...
Because here we are, back in the driveway. I'm not ready to go home, but Girlie says we're not going any further. I ALWAYS want to walk more!
So that was our walk on Wednesday! Going for walks with My Girlie is one of my favefurite things in the world! I would go for two or three walks a day, if only she would take me!

Facebook Photos
Wroo, furends! That Girl of mine posted some pictures of me on my walk yesterday - but of course, she didn't post them HERE. Hmph. She posted them on her facebook page, which is totally unfair. She never lets me on my bloggy, but she goes on that stupid facebook all the time. My little brown nose is quite out of joint, I can tell you. If you want to, you can encourage her bad habit by going to see the pictures there. She promises that I can post them here in the next day or two. If she doesn't follow through, I'm going to go on strike!

Girlie's Birthday
It's That Mean Girlie's birthday today. I pointed out to my Nanny this morning that we never celebrate my birthday, and in fact, I don't even seem to have one! The injustice of it all! Nanny had the nerve to suggest that I could share with The Girl, if you can imagine. Hmph.
And then she said something even worse! That all my birthday would mean is a bag full of bully sticks and a stack of IOUs for walks, and how would that be different from any other day? Well, first of all, most days I only get to have one bully stick at a time, and sometimes there is an unacceptable lapse of time between the end of one and That Girl getting me another. (I like to have one at my disposal at all times, you know, so that I can have a chew whenever the mood strikes me.) AND, That Mean Girl has all sorts of rules about walks, which are SO unfair! "We only walk every second day, Woogie," she tells me. (She is very lazy, you know. And she calls me Woogie.) And then there's the Sunday rule: "On Sundays, there are too many other doggies out there that you snark at, so we don't walk on Sundays, Woogie." So it seems to me that a birthday that brought a bag full of bully sticks and a stack of IOUs for walks would be QUITE different from any other day.
Anywroo, That Mean Girl got a new camera for her birthday. (Don't you think that a bag full of bully sticks and a stack of IOUs for walks would be better than that??) I can't stand her taking pictures of me, and she just doesn't care. She takes them anyway, even though I tell her that I hate it. Look at these pictures, you can see how disgruntled I am.
Maybe now that she has a new camera, she'll let me onto my bloggy more often. I won't hold my breath, though.
As for my gift to her, I offered to take her for an extra walk today, just because it's her birthday ("because you know, Woogie, it's not your day"), but she didn't want to go. I just don't understand her!!
