Fuzzy Ducky Friday

Wroo, furends! The Girl thanks all of you who counselled me to have patience and understanding for her. I, on the other hand, wish you wouldn't encourage her!

We still don't have that great post for you that I was planning, because The Girl started to take some pictures last night for me, and somehow managed to run the battery down until it was all gone. I have to just sigh and shake my handsome head. But we do have a post today about one of my favourite toys, Pink Ducky. (We don't actually call it "Fuzzy Ducky", but this week The Girl has been into these post titles where the words start with the same letter. So that's what she did.)

Pink Ducky is not a dog toy, so it didn't have a squeeker inside; Girlie found it for me at a thrift store with the kids' toys. But I sure love Pink Ducky!

There is also a video of me playing with Pink Ducky. It has been so long since The Girl took it that we don't remember if it's any good. Hopefully, it was!

And here are some pictures of my handsomeness, accented by Pink Ducky's fluffiness.

And my furend, Biggie Z, asked if I was planning to make Ticked Off Thursdays into a weekly feature. I like that idea, I'm sure I could find something to rant about once a week (often, it's even more than once a week! Wroo!). So we'll see if Girlie lets me!

Pictures from a sunny day

Wroooooooo, furends! I bet you thought The Girl fell asleep and never woke back up!

We're both doing well. My Girlie is continuing to get better, even though she's still really dizzy all the time. And I'm a little bit bored when she naps, but Nanny and Papa look after me when she sleeps. And that Girlie keeps telling me we'll get walking again soon, but I don't think I believe her. She says the delay is mostly 'cause she can't find my Torture Device. Little does she know, but I took care of that nasty head harness but good.

Just a quick post for today. We've had some really nice days recently, so The Girl's taken pictures. Notice that they haven't made it to my bloggy. Send emails complaining, that might help! Wroooo!

These pictures were taken one day when The Girl had to go to the people V-E-T, but it wasn't quite time to leave yet. In the background of a couple of them, you can see the Magnificently Huge Purse she carries around. (That's what she's taken to calling it, and I blame Mango. I wuff you, buddy, but seriously, The Girl is taking it too far.)

And here is a shot she took of my handsomeness. Please ignore the gunky in my eye! I apparently need a makeup person or something, since she doesn't bother to make me look my finest before she clicks that silver boxy thing.

And a really big thank you to all of you, furends, for continuing to stop by and leave your messages of love and support for us. It really helps my Girlie in her healing process, and it really helps me to know that you all haven't given up on me, what with the stunning lack of bloggy posts. Wrooooooooo to each and evfurry one of you, and lots of Brown Dog Love!

Finally, I get to post again!

Wrooo, everypuppy and kitty! I'm finally back to post on the bloggy!

It's been really boring lately. The Girl says there is an ongoing situation in our lives that she can't do anything about, but she's very unhappy and stressed about it. I have no idea what she's talking about, but she's sure having trouble. We haven't done much lately, and I was starting to get stir-crazy! There's only so much cuddling a dog can do, even if he is a cuddle-monster.

Yesterday, The Girl told me we were going in the car on an Adventure! I was very excited, and wrooooed at Girlie to hurry up. We got into my car, and off we went. We ended up at someplace called Walmart, whatever that is. The Girl disappeared for a bit, leaving me with a chicken strip to devour.

She came back, and we went to see my Nanny and my Papa! I haven't seen them in quite some time. We didn't take the camera, so no pictures. We had a good visit, and I got to meet their new neighbour doggies! Trucker is a great big black lab, and he has a little sibling, who is a Yorkie. We don't know that doggy's name, but boy was it fun to bark all together!

Did The Girl tell you how I saved our lives and the house yesterday? Silly Girlie left the oven on. I had to pester her until she turned it off. She's really not that good at communication, honestly. It was plain as day what I was telling her, but she just didn't get it.

The other thing we did yesterday was to go outside together. I really like it when The Girl comes outside to watch me do my thing. (Not my business, that's a whole other issue.) It was pretty icky and cold and windy, and it had rained most of the morning. But it wasn't raining, so The Girl said we should go out while we had the chance. (Rain is EVIL; it makes little brown dogs melt.)

So we were outside. The Girl had the camera, so there are a few pictures to share.

There was a smell that was captivating.

The Girl also took a picture of my feets, to illustrate the way I balance on my three leggies.

Me, looking handsome.

Sitting and waiting for The Girl to decide she was ready to go back into the house. It was cold!

Another picture of me being handsome.

It was so cold outside that I started shivering a bit. I was happy when The Girl asked me if I was cold and if I wanted to go back in the house. I jumped right up and headed for the door. It would have been rude of me to suggest going in, but I was sure glad she thought of it!

Today, The Girl told me that I have been bugging the cats too much, and that's a sure sign I haven't had enough exercise. Now, I agree that there has been a serious lack of exercise lately, but there's no such thing as bugging the cats too much. If they'd just play with me, I'd be happy.

Anyway, Girlie said that even though her "too-doo" list is as long as her arm, we had to go out and get some fresh air. Today was sunny and no sign of rain, so she got my leash and took me out to my car again! Two days in a row!

And guess where we ended up? At the DOG PARK!!!! Not the new one that The Girl is so excited about, though. We went to the old standby one out by the airport, because it's way bigger and Girlie said that I needed to get some exercise. And her, too.

I was so excited when we got there! I would love to show you how excited I was, but The Girl forgot the camera again. We did lots of walking and sniffing, and I did lots of peeing. She claimed that I had to be empty with nothing left to pee, but what does she know? She doesn't even know how to leave pee-mail.

There were lots of other doggies there, too. Even doggies that are bigger than me! The Girl wasn't sure about them, but I was a Very Good Dawg and greeted them all nicely. I even asked one of them to play chase with me, but he had to go home with his people. I let the other doggies sniff at me, and didn't react even when one of them yelled at me. His lady scolded him. The Girl told her that I would take care of myself if I was offended, but I just turned away and sniffed another doggy. Girlie kept saying how proud she was of me.

We didn't even have our cell phone with us so The Girl could capture me grinning and laughing with joy. But it was such a good Adventure! I guess Girlie isn't so bad, after all. I wonder where we'll go tomorrow?

I keep telling The Girl that we're behind on my furends' bloggies. She says sorry again, we'll catch up eventually. I have to add to that, we'll probably fall behind again as soon as we catch up. I think I need a voice recognition thingy for the laptop, so I could just wrooooo my posts and bypass The Girl altogether!

I'm ba-ack!

Wrooo, everypup. Now I'm making progress - I've gotten The Girl to do blogging two days in a row! We're working on getting back to every day.

Anywoo, I have exciting news! Scooter (and Sunny, we're sure!) gave us an award! Scooter did a little something different, and we got to choose the award we wanted. So we chose the You Lift My Spirit Award, because reading their blog always lifts our spirits!

The Girl and I are so far behind on our blogging, so here's what we're gonna do. This award is given to any of our readers who could use a little lifting of their own spirits. Please take it with our love!

If you saw my second post yesterday, then you saw me in a state that hardly ever happens... I was NAKED!!! Here's another picture of me in all my naked glory:

Don't I look happy? I really hate having to wear a collar. Really, really, REALLY hate it. I scratch at it, I shake my head, I scratch at it again. The Girl knows I hate having one on, but she makes me wear one all the time. She is paranoid about me getting lost and if I'm not wearing my collar, it will take longer for people to know where my home is. I do have a tattoo in my ear, but my collar has a tag with my phone number on it. So she says I have to wear it. Even though I hate it.

But I got to be NAKED for a few minutes yesterday! Then the worst thing happened: The Girl put a NEW collar on me! It's about twice as wide as my old collar, and I hate it, hate it, hate it. The Girl says that I look very handsome, and that Lucky Fiona did a great job on the new collar and leash. Hmmmpphhh. As if I need a collar to make me look handsome! But I do have to admit that the new pattern is particularly stunning against my chocolate fur.

Ahem. There were actually two collars in the package for me; only one has a matching leash, though. Here is the one without the matching leash:

I am looking up at the treat she is trying to bribe me with.

Not impressed. This collar is also wide, and I also hate it. And I was NOT into posing yesterday! But The Girl says that she really likes this one, too, because it's very fun. Huh, I didn't think it was much fun. I even went Upside Down to try to convince her to take it off me:

(The Girl here. Isn't this a fun pattern? Lucky Fiona did a super job! The name of the pattern isn't on her site anymore, so I can't tell you what it is.)

Then, she took the collar off of me! I thought that she'd finally come to her senses, but NO! She put another new collar on my neck! I am NOT impressed...

The Girl says this is the Poindexter pattern. Whatever that means. She adores this collar, which has a matching leash.

Now she is bribing me to pose.

All right, all right. Here's the shot...

Then, just when I thought it was all over, we went outside. Which I normally love, but The Girl snapped my new leash on to my new collar, and she wanted me to pose AGAIN. She has to bribe me. No poses unless you bribe me.

Well okay then! That's more like it!

I AM quite handsome in this pattern, aren't I?

So those were yesterday's adventures. So far today, there has been no sign of new collars. Although I'm still wearing the Poindexter. Sigh.
