Help!!!!

Help me, my furends!  (Assuming I have any furends left!  After all, it has been eleventy-seven YEARS since That Mean Girl let me post on my bloggy!)

I need somepuppy to call the SPCA, or the police, or 911, or something.  I need to be rescued!  That Mean Girl is neglecting me terribly.  I'm sure that keeping me away from my bloggy and all my furends is a crime, and they would help me.

I know that all of you have been wondering about us, whether we're okay, or even still alive!  Well, we are alive, but obviously all is not well at my house.  That Mean Girl is doing all kinds of other things, and she has some pretty messed up priorities, that much is obvious!

I am doing pretty well other than never being allowed on my own bloggy.  We had some bad thunder for a few weeks, and I was worried about that.  But I'm doing better, especially since it's been a while since we had those awful storms.  Cross your paws that we don't have many more!

I am settling in well at my Nanny and my Papa's house, which seems to be where we'll be living for a while.  All of our stuff is here, so I guess we're staying.  I don't mind, really.  The wind is kind of scary sometimes here, more than at The Roomie's house.  But my Nanny and my Papa have a nice big backyard, and my Nanny puts out a birdie feeder so they come around.  Then I can chase them, which is one of my fave-fur-ite things to do!

My Nanny and my Papa also like to share their foodables with me.  This drives That Mean Girl crazy, because she says that I have to "stay lean, because he only has one front leggie".   I think she is just jealous, because my Nanny and my Papa don't give her foodables.  My Papa always gives me half of his apple.  And lots of other things that That Mean Girl doesn't know about, so I won't write about them here.

They also let me bark more than That Mean Girl does.  Wroo!

I also really wuff to roll on my Papa's bed!  If he doesn't close his bedroom door all the way, I sneak in there and roll.  It is really pawsome!

I don't have much time, since I had to sneak on here when That Mean Girl wasn't paying attention.  It is furry hard to type with my nose, because all the keys on the laptop thingy are so close together.  But I seem to have figured it out okay, so I'll try to sneak on to my bloggy more often.

I guess I better say something about how That Mean Girl is doing.  She has been going to the People V-E-T a lot lately, and she takes a lot of different pills.  (She doesn't even take them with peanut butter, or CheezeWhiz!  She has no idea, really.  It is quite sad.)  She says they are "trying to find a meds combination that works".  I’m sure it would work better if she took them with CheezeWhiz.

She is also doing lots of cheating on me with other doggies.  Evfurry Monday night, she goes away and comes back hours later smelling of puppies.  Can you imagine???  She says she is teaching the puppies’ people how to train them.  A likely story.

She also is doing something with the SPCA shelter doggies and the magic clicky box.  I don’t know why she feels the need to go there to use the magic clicky box, since I’m always ready, willing, and able to let her click it at me and give me treats.  I really don’t understand her.

She spends a LOT of time on this laptop thingy.  She says she is “learning”.  Another likely story.

Anyway, enough about That Mean Girl.  And I think I hear her coming back, so I’d better go lie on the chair Upside Down so she doesn’t suspect anything.

I miss all of you, my furends.  Here’s hoping you’re all still out there somewhere!  And hoping that That Mean Girl gets off the laptop thingy evfurry once in a while, so I can sneak on here and post!

WROO!

Backyard fun!

Wroo! I am getting to write on my bloggy again! We haven't been visiting much yet, but at least I get to post again this weekend!

And there are new pictures, too! Girlie took them last weekend - I made her do something I wanted her to do! Wroooooooooooo!

I tried to use the little white clicky box on her, but darned if I can figure out how she makes it work. Poking it with my nose, bashing it with my paw... neither made it make the magic clicky noise. And I can't get into the fridge to get treats for her, anyway. (The Girl notes that if Dannan did somehow manage to figure out how to open the fridge, he would probably eat all the treats himself!) Very funny, Girlie. No "wroo" for you!

Speaking of the whole nose-poking business... I have added a new and exciting feature to that silly "touch" game that The Girl likes to play! It's ever so much more fun this way, let me tell you how I do it! The furst few times, I just poke her quietly. But then, I add noise to the poke. I start small, just little "rrrrrrrrrrrr" kinds of sounds. Then I gradually get louder, "RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR", and as I get louder, I start slamming my nose into her hand. It's much more exciting that way!

Enjoy the pictures! I was having SO much fun in the backyard that day (like I do most days, wroo!), and I didn't even mind that The Girl had that stupid silver box pointed at me!

The Girl has lost her mind...

Wroo, furends! I finally got some bloggy time!

It has been kind of a boring month. That Girlie isn't taking pictures of me still - any doggy or kitty know how to train a hooman how to do that?!? The pictures in this post below are from earlier this spring -- I finally got The Girl to upload them from the little silver box (the one that flashes) to the bigger silver box (that she spends all her time with instead of with me).

I have been chasing lots of birdies. Nanny and Papa have new neighbours, and they are all amazed at how fast I run. It is nice to get that reaction from them, because all of my peoples just take it for granted that I can run like the wind! (Or like a birdie...) Nanny calls me "the little brown flash", which is a pretty good nickname, I think.

But I know you are wondering why I say that Girlie has lost her mind. So I will get right to that story. Sometimes The Girl brings out a little white box that she holds in her hand. She calls it "training time", and the little white box makes a click sound, then I get a treat. It's a pretty good time.

So lately, she's been getting out the little while clicky thing, and then she wants me to poke her hand with my nose. When I do, she makes it say click, and I get a little piece of hot dog. I have no idea why on earth she would want me to poke her hand with my nose, but The Girl often does things that I don't understand. We've been playing this little poking game quite a bit, and she's even given it a name - Touch. I look at her like she's crazy when we play this game, but as long as the hot dogs keep coming, I'll keep poking at her.

One day, she even wanted me to poke Nanny's hand with my nose. So I did. Lots of times, and I got lots of treats. Then she asked me to poke Papa's hand... that was harder for me, because I am sometimes quite nervous of Papa, especially his hands. But I did poke his hand, twice, and got lots of treats and praise. I really don't know what's going on with Girlie.

Then today, we were outside in the backyard and she wanted me to poke this round green thing that she calls a Beach Ball. I can see no point to this exercise, but today she was giving out little pieces of CHEESE for nose-poking the Beach Ball. So I did it until Girlie said that the cheese was all gone.

Does anybody know why The Girl would get so excited about nose-poking??? I'm not complaining, mind you -- as long as she's giving out treats, I'll keep nose-poking. But the purpose of this activity is beyond me!

So here are a couple of pictures of me outside. You can tell that they are from earlier this spring, because the grass is all dead. Right now, the grass here is all green and nice. Here's me looking in the neighbour's yard for birdies:

This one is just me, hearing something in the backyard:

And here's one of me looking at the small silver boxy thing:

Hopefully, I'll get another change to bloggy soon. Send in your tips for training stubborn and hard-to-train Girlies!

Missed Shots Monday

Wroo, evfurry body! Today, The Girl thought it would be funny to show you some of the pictures she took of me that were complete misses. I think that it just shows how much she needs to practice with the Silver Clicky Box*, but...

Anyway, I am a furry FAST dog! Girlie often tries to take a picture of me, but when she clicks that button and the picture shows up, she often finds that the picture looks like this:

Or this:

Or even this:

Sometimes, she aims the Silver Clicky Box ahead of where I am running, so that she can try to get me in the frame. Then, she sometimes gets a picture that looks like this:

Girlie is claiming that this is a Missed Shot like the others, but it is not. You can clearly see that I am not even moving. She can't blame the fact that she chopped off my head on me running too fast. But sometimes the one with the fingers gets the final say, she says. No one is fooled, Girlie.

Ha ha ha! Girlie, you included this one in the Missed Shots, but I'm there! Brown Dog Stealth, engage!

And yet again, The Girl is insisting on putting this photo in with the so-called Missed Shots. Again, you can tell that I am just standing there. No excuse for this one, Girlie!

In this one, I admittedly outran the Silver Clicky Box:

And in this one, too:

This is another one where I am clearly not moving. Just look closely at my hind haunch. All of these ones that chop up my handsomeness, they're not even action shots!

Another photo where half of me is cut off, that can only be blamed on Girlie needing a reality check.

But this one, I can honestly admit that I was in this corner, barking at the birdies, when she started to take the picture. But then I had to chase a birdie that flew away, and the Silver Clicky Box was TOO SLOW!

I told The Girl that this post didn't really count toward a Picture-A-Day of me, since there were no pictures of me in it. She tried to say that those chopped up ones count, but I told her, "Seriously, Girlie!" And she agreed to put in a picture that includes my head, since I'm sure that my furends come by to see my face and not my hind-half.

I am not amused that she chose this picture as the one with my face, even though it pretty much sums up my opinion of this entire post. And notice, this picture is chopped off, too! Wroooo!

*The Silver Clicky Box is not to be confused with the Clicker. The Clicker is much better than the Silver Clicky Box, because the Clicker always means I get a treat. Not so with the Silver Clicky Box!

Saturday in the backyard

Hi, everypuppy and kitty, it's Dannan here. Thanks to evfurryone for your kind words and support about The Roomie's brother. He's not out of the woods yet, and when he is, he'll have a long recovery ahead of him. It helps to know we've got such good friends out there, thinking good thoughts.

The Girl is back and forth between needing to keep busy and not being able to concentrate. So in the next couple of days, we may make it to all our friends' bloggies, and we might not. But we wanted to do something cheery today, and The Girl took some pictures in the backyard.

I asked her to take a picture of my favfurrite tree. There are almost always birdies in this tree, and sometimes even squirrels!

Ha ha, you can even see my hind-self in the bottom right hand corner!

This is me at the foot of that tree. Around the trunk of the tree are some bushes and a little evergreen-type tree. It's in the middle of our backyard, and The Girl calls it the Island. I love my Island!

This is me making a funny face.

The Girl says she doesn't know what I'm doing with my lips in this picture.

Here are some other pictures of me enjoying my backyard:

I've saved the best for last! The Girl got this picture of me while I was running:

The Girl says she really wishes that we had access to a video camera, because she says I am beWROOtiful when I run. Ha ha, look at this close up and check me out. BeWROOtiful, for sure! BOL!

We'll be back as and when we can. Love to you all, and wrooooooooooooo.

Today is brought to you by the letter "T"

I read Lady Kaos' post about the Letter Game, so I asked her for a letter so I could play. She gave me "T".

So here are 10 Things I Love that start with T:

1. The Girl. I love her best of all!

2. Treats. No "T" list would be complete without treats! My favourite treats are bully sticks, cheese, and everything else! The Girl is too lazy to get up and gather a bunch of my treats together to take a picture, so here are some images I found on the web.

3. Time for bed! This means that I get my Omega-3 dentastick, which I LOVE. It is not a treat, I get it every night at bedtime.

4. Toys. Especially squeeky squirrels. And puppets. The Girl gets me hand puppets from the thrift store, and I love to be allowed to bite her hand! I destroyed my last squirrel a couple of days ago, and my hand puppet dinosaur has disappeared (The Girl: Because he destroyed that, too!). But this is my new favourite toy, the Pink Ducky! Also pictured are my pink flamingo, and Sheepy. Both are long gone, though.

5. Turkey. Very tasty! We didn't have turkey for Thanksgiving this year, but I sure do like it! Technically a treat, but worth mentioning on it's own.

6. Tomatoes. Not a treat; I am entitled to a portion of every tomato The Girl cuts.

7. The Mailman. He gives me cookies.

Not our actual Mailman. Image from http://office.microsoft.com/clipart/

8. Tug. I love to play tug with my toys. When I came to The Girl, I didn't know how to play with toys at all, and I didn't have a clue about tugging. But it didn't take me long to learn!

9. Tails. I love to wag my tail! The Girl says it's a very good thing that I'm so waggy, because my face is usually hound-doggy sad. She tried to get some pictures of me wagging my tail, but as soon as she focused the camera on my hind end, I stopped wagging.

10. Trees. They hold birds and squirrels! And they are also good to pee on! I wanted The Girl to take a picture of my favourite tree in the backyard, but it's raining, and she refuses to go out. If you can imagine! So here is just some tree.

That was so fun! If you'd like to play, let me know and I'll give you a letter!
